Thanks a lot, ladies! This is my first day since Friday not doing anything related to AOII, since we had recruitment activities Friday & Saturday, then Sunday was bid day and our colonization ceremony, and yesterday was our first chapter meeting. It feels so weird, as many of my sisters have been saying on Facebook. We have our first sisterhood event this Thursday :)

Honestly, at this point, I feel like not having a successful formal recruitment/other events was probably THE BEST thing that could've happened to me! I do not even mind that I will only get to experience AOII for around a year and a half during my collegiate years, because I know that I will make the most of it, AND I have my whole life to look forward to as an AOII!

I am impressed that you took constructive criticism and actually changed your interactions/first impressions with others. Too many times we read on this board that "I am perfect, the system sucks."
Congratulations on finding your home!

Congrats to you and AOPi!!!

I had a feeling you were going to be an AOII by the description! Part of life is growth, and you are so right, your college years are only part of your AOII story. Welcome to our sisterhood and have fun building your new chapter.

Wow! What a great story. I have often said that my unsuccessful first attempt at recruitment was a blessing in disguise.

Congratulations!

Wow, you are inspiring! I'm way more confident in my decision to rerush after reading your story! Thank you!

Your welcome, Marie Rose! I would definitely recommend it. I mean, ultimately, it's your decision, but I know I would have regretted it SOOO much if I hadn't. I can't believe that in a little over a month, I get to see how recruitment is done from the other side :D

Never give up on your dream. Just picture yourself already a member and it will happen. Your mind is a powerful tool. Congratulations on AOPi and don't forget to inspire other women who may be thinking about giving up when one door slams shut.

Very true! I think in the end, it all works out for the better for everyone :) I personally LOVE my sorority, and cannot picture myself anywhere else now.
