Because its not just about you gals.....
<this will probably go down as the gayest thing I have ever said on this site but...>
It was the coat of arms. I went to a party (very wet, very illegal, but I didnt drink then), and and walked in with 2 Sigma Chis who were buds to the Lambda Chi house. Saw the Coat of Arms painted on the wall (about 8 ft x 6 ft) and it was familliar. I KNOW I had never seen it before in my life, but there was someting familliar about it. Like seeing my own name on the wall. Then my (soon to be) big bro rushed the crap outta me. Followed the NIC 5-step recruitment process and made me feel at home. My experience.... |

I loved the slide shows with music. DZ did a hip hop skit-- I loved it- they had girls in groups and some did Kid Rock's Cowboy and they all wore cowboy hats etc. The room was made to look like a 50's diner! It was awesome!!!
Seeing the letters and all the tangible stuff was really cool too. AOPI didn't have a house so they brought all kinds of stuff to decorate the room they used. And they had a booth with stuff like snowboards, crochet etc just to show that their house wasn't cookie cutter and that they did a lot of things outisde the sorority. |
hmm.. A lot of things stood out..
For Chi-O, I remember one night(sisterhood maybe?), the decorated the whole house to look like a starry night and then sung. It was so pretty. They also had cake that had every PNMs name on it. I was so shocked when they gave me cake with my name on it. For Tri-sig, I remember how one night everything was in purple, which was neat. I also remember someone falling down the stair b/c the railing was gone. There house all though layout wise its identical to chi-o, there was a more home/comfy feeling. I also remember there slide show and how I started crying during it. For AST, I remember how much fun there decorations were. They were all home made. And the sorority hall, is painted green and gold, which i thought was neat. I also remember that even though they were small, they had anchors allover the walls with our names on it. Decorations were fun to see. I was impressed with Chi-O and tri-sig. But I went AST. |
