I haven't seen his new video...but, I saw his performance on 106 and Park. His image is more "hip," but the beats on the songs that he performed were wack. He wears fatigues b/c his CD is entitled "Active Duty" or something to that effect.
Speaking of "Pumps and a Bump," I definitely remember the old video and how BET refused to show it b/c he had an erection. I liked the other video they made for the song. He was trying to be hardcore, but it was much more tasteful. Quote:

The video that aired on 106th and Park was pertaining about the war and the American people. It was like those songs P-Diddy came out with--you know old school remakes. I think it was Ain't No Stopping us. I really can't recall, but it was not what I would have used to try to make a comeback with. Personally, I wouldn't buy it. I was to through when it knocked Aaliyah to the number 2 spot and it aired as number one. I know that they did that because he was on the show. But overall I do commend him for thinking about his country.

What gets me is that he's been on all these shows talking about ministering and preaching..then he comes back and wants support...Is he confused or what?

Well, in my opinion from watching the movie, he went from dancing in front of the Oakland A's stadium for money, to playing with the Okaland A's, rap-preaching, rap career, back ro rap-preaching, and now I guess he is back to rapping.

well, i saw the movie today...
i just kept thinking that something was missing. what about the other groups that hammer tried to put on? i just didn't get a sense of completion from the movie. but, it entertained me so i guess it did it's job.
i know i might be alone in this, but without those coke-bottle glasses, i thought the dude that played him was sort of attractive. |
