I've wondered if the reason why ZTA hasn't happened yet is because they're trying to co-brand with a pink ribbon and want/need Komen's blessing?

I would be interested to see how the public vote plays into which sororities they pick, because I feel like Zeta's always had a really strong vote. |
I'll put a disclaimer here.. these views are not the views of AGD or my sisters...plenty of them love Lilly and were voting like crazy.
That said, I am clearly a northerner because I don't "get" Lilly. I can't imagine wearing those kinds of prints or buying anything in those prints. They aren't my style at all. I suspect ZTA hasn't gotten a print yet because the whole thing is a ploy to get sororities to market for Lilly for free and if they keep a "big" sorority hold out, they can milk that for all its worth. Then again, I'm kind of anti-designer of any type and I don't wear t-shirts, etc. that market for a company (like Old Navy shirts that say Old Navy prominently, shirts with a Nike swoosh, etc.) If I paid for the product, I'm not going to advertise for them too. They should be paying me to wear stuff like that. |

For example, I see a lot of AKA stuff that is green and pink and says 1908. Obvious to anyone in the D9, but not necessarily to a non-Greek (or even to an NPCer). I'd love to see more stuff like that in the Phi Mu collection. That said, the only item I can imagine wanting in the Phi Mu print is the Murphee, and I'll be damned if I am gonna pay $80 for a scarf. |
I think Tri Sigma will probably be in the next class. People say its a size thing, but remember, they were in the voting to the final round in the last class. Plus the colors and symbols easily align with Lilly- Purple and White and sailboats and violets. One of the easier prints to come up with, I think. I do think its ridiculous that they make it out as if voting makes a difference though, since they had the final say and ZTA was on top in terms of voting presence. I know that pissed a whole lot of people off.
Personally, I own a few Lilly things- some dresses and a planner. I went to college in the south, but other than a few girls here and there, Lilly wasn't really seen on campus. Most of us derived our wardrobes from White House Black Market, Ann Taylor, etc. More classic in terms of style- no crazy prints. I think the sorority prints in general are garish and not my style, but since they come in accessories, I'm more likely to wear one or two bright prints and pair it with my mostly black wardrobe. I feel sorry for any group that has to go last. No point in voting anymore, right? No hoopla surrounding it. Sure you're excited, but every other group that already has one, they don't care anymore. They've got what they want. I think this voting crap was a horrible idea from the beginning. |
I bought the tumbler-everything else is out of my price range or will just get dirty like crazy.

I wouldn't pay $5 for anything with the Pepto Panda on it. I know AOIIs are glad to have the print, but it's terrible. I'm surprised any of the other groups bother with this any more. Every time the prints come out, they are disappointing.

^^Me too! Pepto panda made me giggle. Vineyard Vines has a sorority line, but the prints are mainly letters and small symbols. Not sure I'd like a SK print in their line.

Btw, I would adore a panhellenic print if Lilly would make one! |
^^ Beware! Instead of pepto pandas you could end up with periwinkle penguins! :-)

I would much prefer crowns, strawberries and a nod to Themis than pink ribbons for the ZTA print. Our founders knew nothing of pink ribbons. Yep, I'm old school.
And, it's not like there aren't a gazillion pink ribbon prints out there already. |
