Can't wait to read your updates! My daughter went through recruitment at MU last year. She moved into her sorority house last weekend, and they have worked all week to prepare for the 1600+ pnm's. Good luck to her! Keep us posted on her journey!

To Mizmama, the shirts are identical except colors. There's no big secret about them. They just wear them on designated days.

My daughter is going through rush at Mizzou as well!!! Do you know what time they break for lunch and then what time they are finished tonight? I want to talk to my daughter, however I do not want to call or text her if she is still visiting the houses.

How is rush going for the all the Mizzou moms out there? The first round of cuts were made this morning. Does anyone know if these were basically done for grades? My daughter is starting to get nervous, today is a long day!! At this point, what are cuts based on?

No, they weren't just grade cuts today. My daughter got cut by 2 sororities. Her grades are over 4.0.

You won't ever know and neither will anyone here. Membership Selection is confidential. Anyone who says "I was cut for grades" or something similar is making huge assumptions. PNMs are never told in any official capacity why they were cut.

Grade cuts happen at round one, but that is by no means the only reason a girl would get cut. There wouldn't be nearly enough girls to eliminate on that criterion alone. With RFM working correctly, the chapters have to make significant cuts at each stage of the process. Plus, that would mean every chapter would be pulling from the same list of girls, since the variation on grade requirements isn't that different between chapters.

The cuts tomorrow and Friday will be more severe. It's getting down to the nitty gritty. It's just so competitive at Mizzou, with so many awesome girls going through recruitment. Most houses keep 85-100 or so new members. They started with a pool of 1680 PNMs. Think about that!
