Far out, groovy, dreamy Davy, RIP. He was my first heart throb crush. Here is how stupid I was over the guy: once cut out a head shot of him from Tiger Beat Magazine and taped it to the living room window, trying to make some other Davy-obsessed girl think he was staying at my house and gazing out the window.

I am laughing hysterically. My younger sister would've done this in a heartbeat had she thought of it! I can't wait to tell my brothers.

In recent years, Davy was spending some of his time in my area. The place I had my wedding reception was a favorite hangout, apparently. I used to hope I'd randomly run into him there...

Ha ha, I even attached the head to a t-shirt to make it look like he had shoulders and a chest and wasn't just a head floating in the window pane. That was the summer of "The Davy Wars." I have not seen my competition in 40 years, but we actually reconnected on FB about 18 months ago and have laughed and laughed about that crazy time. I noticed yesterday she had posted a video of Daydream Believer and referenced Davy as her "first love." I should go comment that no, I loved him before she did. :)
