Alpha Xi Delta has a lot of very sweet, down-to-earth girls but I have heard a few derogatory names thrown in their direction when referring to their appearence as a whole. I have nothing against them though, and their sisterhood appears to be a stong one. They usually do alright in rush... for example, this year they were only two short of meeting quota, but halfway through the new member period about half of the girls depledged. Although they are not considered one of the "elite" here, and I don't think they are the guy's preference either(having heard several comments from fraternity guys here), overall they are considered a fun house.

yeah! azd!!!

okay...its obvious i am going to be bias because i am an alpha xi, but i love being one! the alpha xi's on our campus are very down to earth. we aren't fake and we don't put on a show to impress everyone and make them think we are perfect and wonderful. we are a group of individuals that be ourselves and have fun doing it! we are a very diverse chapter, but i think that is one of the things that makes us great! our chapter gets along great with the fraternaties and we are very social. we threw one of the best parties our college has ever seen :D (well in my time being here anyways). i love being a xi!!!!!!!!

I love being AXiD. Our chapter at Millersville is very strong and we most often make our quota. We've raised the most money for our charity (Make A Wish Foundation) during Homecoming the past few years. Although it can get costly, which probably has more to do with being National than just being AXiD, I wouldn't give up my sisters for anything!

The AZD chapter at my school closed last year, but this fall they reorgaized and got about fifty or sixty pledges, I think. So they're off to a good start! I didn't know anyone from the previous group, though, and none of my sisters did either so I can't really say how they were regarded on campus.

The AZD chapter at my school closed 3 years ago, after recolonizing in 1992.

They used to be ok when i rushed in 98 but now they are one of the top sororities at University of Hartford. They definalty have taken some really cool girls during the last few rushes when I was there. And they have a really good looking chapter, are mostly blondes!!

Well, my chapter just closed and is going to be recolonized next year. I know at CSUN they got THE largest pledge class of anyone in the fall. At UDub I've met a lot of them and they're very sweet girls, but I don't know enough about the campus to say how they rank.

I hope we recolonize at Michigan, 'cause that's one of my top grad school choices!

One of my closest friends was an AXiD so I have a soft spot for them. When I was in school they were smack in the middle.....the were a real mix of girls. They weren't one of the top tier chapters but they weren't considered "bad" or bottom tier either....they kind of stood alone. They were very down to earth, fun, party-type girls who didn't really care what everyone thought.....they were real. My friend fit in perfectly and I know she was pretty happy there. Nowadays they seem to be attracting a different kind of girl....I don't know if they are as nice and laid back as they were, but the girls I have seen walking around in letters are VERY cute/pretty type girls.

---biased big time---

The AZDs at my school is certainly the powerhouse out of the three soroities. They are popular with everyone: the six frats, the other two sororites, and even non-greeks. Probably because they are everything a good sisterhood should be: outgoing, social, sweet, (moderately) crazy, and have lots of spirt. And it helps with being the cutest :p

At Binghamton ten years ago, AZD was one of the top sorority choices of the rushees. They were extremely attractive, bright, and involved on campus. From what I recall, they always made quota and total. I don't know if that has changed over the past decade.

AZD's at UNLV are all pretty nice, but some can be really rude. They make up a big portion of our panhellenic council here and sometimes I find that they make decisions solely on what they want for their chapter. But yes, overall they are a great group of girls.
