voting
I say NO to the 100% thing. That is practically impossible! I can't even imagine that that works. My campus is so small that rumors run rampant, so there is always one girl who heard something about someone and believed it so they don't like them. I don't think we would get any members if we did that. Plus, how well do you really all get to know a person? I personally have not liked girls we gave a bid to and I would have been one of those voting against them, but after being around them I found out what great people they are and now I can't believe I ever thought the things about them that I did. I think by using the 100% rule chapters would be missing out on the potential of having really great members......you just don't know it yet.

100% is not a formal rule, we go by majority but when I was an undergrad we had a small chapter and our votes were basically 100% - if one person had objections about a candidate, we heard her out, gave an opportunity for other views/impressions and then we voted and the ones that made it had everyone's vote or no ones. I dont' know what we would have done if someone had a majority, but not 100% because it never happened.
