Tracie, I'm with you on that :) I did take my husband's last name. I'd thought of hyphenating but his name is just too dang long - so instead, I have two middle names, my "original" middle name and my maiden name. I go by "Ms. Hisname" socially - I'm not too bothered by "Mrs. Hisname" but I gently correct people if they call me "Mrs." too many times :)
What really p!sses me off, though, is when people address things to "Mr. and Mrs. Hisfirst Hislast" or even "Mrs. Hisfirst Hislast". Hello? I took his last name, not his first name! |
aephi,
I'm with you 100% !!! My mom goes by Page Briggs Massey (the Briggs is her middle name and Massey is our last). That's an interesting way to do it, sort of like yours. One of my sisters who is getting married too just emailed me and asked what I thought about that whole situation. Interesting one. |
well i've been engaged since last march and the wedding is set for june 21st of 2003. i wanna finish up school first. as for the whole last name thing, i'm thinking 'bout hyphenating it. so i'd be Mrs. Wagner-Hobbs. hmmmmmmmmm...
