There are 2 pictures of us in existence and we are not sober in either one! There are only 3 pictures up in the entire house (all the kids senior ones). THis family is WEIRD. His brother just got married and they never accepted her until the day of the wedding. They've been making comments lately (Dad said at rehearsal dinner "Hey Howard, got another daughter so I can marry Rob off?". In front of me mind you. Rob wasn't there)so I'm not inclined to get anything personal or to be honest,nice. I feel some sort of obligation though since I do have dinner with them fairly often and spend a good amount of time in their home.

What about those colorful/fragrant soap bars that they cut like
chunks of cheese and put in netting.

Yankee Candle or a very decorative one.

Gourmet ANYTHING-coffee, ice cream topping, sauces

It would be hard for me to think of ANYTHING if my future in-law said something like that. MAYBE he was just trying to be funny but MISSED. How rude!

If you have dinner at their place a lot, why not something from a kitchen store, like Willams Sonoma?
