I think they are, at least on some campuses.

But I don't think they are giving out any place at a high enough rate to make this an effective recruitment strategy from the PNM's perspective.

I know I can't get a snap bid now. I don't want it. It just wasn't meant to be.

I'm not being bitter, because I think sororities are great. It just obviously wasn't meant to happen.

This is not true.. from the NPC Manual of Information:

If Preferential Bidding is used, women who indicate an Intentional
Single Preference and do not receive an invitation to membership are
eligible for Snap Bidding and Continuous Open Bidding, but are not
eligible for Quota Addition.
Resolved (1995), That a Potential New Member who withdraws from
the Fully Structured Recruitment process before the signing of her
membership acceptance shall be eligible for Snap Bidding and
Continuous Open Bidding.

The OP is just upset over rush not going well for her and is wording it all VERY VERY badly. My guess is at UT there's not going to be much snap bidding or COB later, but there may be some. Once you've gotten some sleep and started classes, you might re-think your decision. Or not. That's fine too.

But if you're going to be posting on here, please spend a little more time getting your terms straight. You're not getting the support you sought because you sound like a doofus.

If you do a lot of reading here and then have more questions, make a new, more anonymous user name and ask.

utaustin - Just FYI - there are usually a small number of sororities (~2-4) that do COB.
