I've witnessed first hand where a girl was rejected from XYZ sorority and her mother being a member of XYZ sorority made it her mission to get that chapter suspended.

While there is technically no age minimum as long as a college aspirant fits the criteria, our aspirants and applicants are women (or young women) and not girls. Just like NPHC fraternity aspirants and applicants are men (or young men) and not boys. Generally, you all would probably be hesitant to refer to them as boys in such a context.

I know this discussion has swerved a bit, but I still wanted to chime in. I find it interesting that although "Interest", as they are referred to in my and many LGLOs, are Interest for a longer period of time then PNMs they do behave overconfident, or like "shoe-ins". I am a neo but I can say this; while I was an interest there was a young lady who behaved like this. She was constantly with Sisters and even arriving to some functions with them. Once the Sisters left the room another interested lady commented on what a close relationship she must have with them. She responded by saying, "Yeah, I already feel like I am one of them." I was smiling on the outside, but in the inside I was a bit shocked. Needless to say, when it was time to get on line she was nowhere to be found.
