And the problem with them being 200 proof is . . . ? :p

Think of all the money that could be saved instead of spending it on alcohol. Oh? You need a drink? Here have a rum ball instead!

Oh, and I have just decreed that you can't have a cookie table thread without cookie table idea pics:

Got turned onto Sam's Club's cream puffs & eclairs yesterday - my DAR chapter is going to supply them! First volunteers!

I told my mother about this tradition about a week ago. She loves the idea and as already started telling all her friends about it. They want to do it for all the weddings that are coming up.

Bringing southern traditions to the West Coast since 2011.

It is a Pittsburgh area tradition, not a southern tradition, FYI. My family pretty much did this but it expanded to other Italian desserts like cannoli too. Then again, they first settled in Pittsburgh before coming to Detroit.

It's a tradition in a lot of cultures. You will never go to a Greek Wedding or an Eastern European wedding that there is no cookie table. I went to so many of them when I was little that the first wedding I went to where there was no cookie table made me cry. I was expecting it!

More tables for everyone to look at (disclaimer, these are more like DESSERT tables because I see more cookie tables offering more than just cookies these days!):

I just did a cycle of "Aw that's cute! Dang, I drooled." about 3 times. :(

I'm all about the cupcakes and want to grab one off that Theta table up there (black and gold)

Signs that you're spending too much time on Greekchat...

I just looked at these three pictures and thought "Tri Sigma... AST... Theta..."

I had never heard of doing a cookie table before. I didn't have one at my wedding.
