My parents use "Barack" or "that president of ours." It's offensive.

Not as offensive as Dubya or Slick Willie (Clinton). I've heard most refer to him as just Obama, but people have done that to most presidents. Just the last name.

I don't know...it seems to be coming from a different place. Whenever he says it, he could just as well be saying "boy." He intensely dislikes President Clinton, but never called him anything but President Clinton or just Clinton. For me, while I may laugh at political satire about my presidents, I still use their last names at the very least to refer to them.

Because I spend so much time in England I have adopted the mildly formal practice of always using the prefix "Mr." before the President's last name. Thus it was "Mr. Clinton", "Mr. Bush", and now "Mr. Obama". Alternatively, when speaking of the President I might say "The President". If I were to speak or write directly to the President I would address him as "Mr. President".
I may or may not like or approve of anyone who holds the office but he IS the President and I will show the respect and support due to the one who holds that office.

The media generally does a good job of saying Vice President and Dr. Biden. I've never heard her referred to as "Jill Biden" or "Joe Biden and Jill" or "Vice President Biden and Jill." Always "Dr. Biden"

I also forgot about that. Bill Clinton's reputation is such a hodgepodge.
