No wonder I don't listen to moron- err, morning radio. Somehow women always wind up being portrayed as sluts or idiots...that is when thy are not busy interviewing porn stars and feature dancers, who better not demonstrate that they have more than 3 functioning brain cells at any point during the interview.

Speaking of advertisers...I have personally dealt with the sales people at this very radio station, on behalf of one of my clients. You can bet that I will now think twice before purchasing any media with them, seeing as they have such misogynistic views toward women, who are THE target market for my clients (and most consumer brands these days).

Laura and the daughters are all Thetas, correct?

Didn't know that about Barbara. Interesting!

I "liked" their page so I could comment. They have something advertising "The Help" on that page. I commented and said, "Just so you know--The Help is written by a SORORITy woman!" I will be writing something else.

My post to them:
I live in New York and attended college in both Pennsylvania and New York. It's pretty bad when I've read many posts on FB and heard from a ton of my friends in Texas about how incredibly insensitive your radio station was when calling sorority women sluts. Did you forget you are based in TEXAS? Yes, Texas is a place with a ton of those "slutty" sorority women. I'm a proud (and accomplished) sorority woman. Check out Penn State Dance Marathon page so you can see all the GOOD those "slutty" sorority sisters are doing for children with Cancer. When you raise numbers like that---then we'll talk.

If you posted that to their Wall, they've deleted it...cuz it's gone now. But by their ad for The Help, do you mean over in the sidebar? Those ads are demo selected by Facebook advertisers, not the Page admins. Everyone sees different ads that are targeted to them...based on pages they like, websites they visit, demographics, etc.

I sent an email to the station sales rep I've worked with, letting her know that the station should direct its DJs to be more careful about what they say...you never know when your advertisers are listening.

No, my post is still there. I just checked. Scroll down. Also, the thing about The Help is their post saying something about The Help coming out or whatever. I posted a reply to them. Check it out and go "like" my comment. Maybe it will bring it to the top of the page or something.
