Yes yes yes!! Brando's meds that he needed were HALF from Diamondback what I would have paid from any pharmacy around here (and I called all of them). Not to mention they are very nice to deal with and package things very nicely. Definitely look into them. www.diamondbackdrugs.com

I'll definately look into it! Most of his prescriptions come from Walgreens, and with his discount card aren't too bad. But that at-home chemo (Cytoxan) and the medication for his heart are way up there. I'm not sure if the chemo could be shipped because of the precautions that have to be taken with the handling of it, but the heart pump drug (Pimobendan) might be an option... :D Any money saved will help me pay off the mass amount of debt I have accrued for him! :eek:

I just think it's a darn shame that DiamondBack is the only discount pet medication place I've ever hear of - even if they would overnight important meds! It would be a highly lucrative business for someone going into vet pharmacudicals!

They will ship in dry ice and will notify you when it goes out.

This show just drives me crazy. These people will never use most of what they buy. I have only been able to force myself to watch a handful of time, but I never heard a single word about donating some of the thousands of tubes of toothpaste or cans upon cans of soup or vegetables, or whatever....

I don't think it is "saving money" when you end up wasting what you get or buying stuff that you don't want/ need, even if it is free. Frankly, I think a LOT of the people on this show are just another version of hoarders.

Some do donate a lot of the stuff to charite, others help out their friends, family and neighbours.

But some are just greedy and crazy.

If you watched it more you'd see that quite a few of them make BIG donations. One guy made up somewhere around 50,000 packages for the members of the military who are overseas. Another couple did it for their church, and several others have mentioned making huge donations to the food bank.

One woman lived in a bad neighborhood, and opened her home up to local teens, so they could come in and get something to eat.

I sure will. He's such an amazing little guy. We adopted him a brother in February, and they are getting along great!

Finally caught a few episodes and I have to say this has got me VERY intrigued. I don't think I could ever get into it with food, but it seems worth looking into for non-food items. What's the problem with stocking up on things like soap, paper towels, toothbrushes, etc? Sure, I guess it's not "extreme" couponing any more because you're not saving thousands of dollars on your entire order...but every little bit helps!

I agree with this. In fact, I need to research just how I can focus extreme couponing into toiletries. I ALWAYS wait until the last minute to buy them.

There was an extreme couponer at Walmart this afternoon. She had what was at least a 3 inch binder STUFFED with probably thousands of coupons. I didn't stick around to watch her, but it had to be interesting.

Not interesting-her completely decimating the nail polish selection.:mad:

I need to find her and have her donate some of that to me.

I stocked up at the end of December on toilet paper, mouthwash, tooth paste, etc. I don't regret it one bit. That show makes me so mad. I'm not a freak. Yes, I have binders with my coupons in them, but I don't block the aisle as other folks are coming, I don't clear a shelf, and I don't ask for multiple transactions! I don't use credit cards, so therefore, I can't buy it if I don't have the money. There's no point in trying to purchase a ridiculous amount of whatever the product is just because you have coupons and it's "good deal." Guess what? It's NOT a good deal if you weren't going to purchase it anyway!


I've also been blogging about my experience using my coupon/frugal finding skills to benefit my chapter house. I'm not sure if any of the rest of you are in charge of helping purchase things for your house committee, but if you are, and are looking for ways to save, you can see how I'm doing it.....better yet, I need your ideas!
