Yes. We had an on-campus bar, The Thirsty Ear, located in one of the graduate dormitories, Ashdown House. A former friend of mine ran it for a while, and he's a beer snob, so there was always something good on tap (aside from the requisite Bud and Bud Light, which he hated stocking, especially on tap, but the demand was there). A Bud or Bud Light was 60 cents. Soda was 75 cents. LOL

My school promises 4 years of housing to all undergrads, and has a long-standing history of screwing grad students to get more undergrad dorm space. Hence, a portion of Ashdown became Sigma Kappa's "house" for a couple of years in the mid-1990s, until the chapter secured an actual house. All of Ashdown was converted to undergrad housing a few years ago, and Green Hall (formerly a small all-female grad dorm) is now Theta's house. However, a new Ashdown House graduate dormitory was built, and The Thirsty Ear found a new home there.

So does your school have a bar on campus? Is this a common thing in the US or not?

We have Bar Uno inside Cleveland State's student center. No liquor is served. Just beer and food. Prices are somewhat reasonable.

We do have bars on campus technically, but they really aren't student bars. They're in the Nittany Lion Inn & Penn Stater Conference Center.
Students don't really just decide to go there unless there's an event there.

They wouldn't need to though. State College is full the the brim and tipping over the edge on the number of allowable liquor licenses in the area.
A good number of bars/restaurants on one area are owned by one family. They kind of use the umbrella rule a lot And some of the most successful bars are on their "block"
On that one block of street (going the whole way around) there are 5 restaurant/bars, and a fancy new brewery/bottle shop place.

We have one. It's extremely popular on Thursdays before everyone goes out. They have happy hour with 5 dollar pitchers, coupled with being outside in Miami it's great.

Sad part is that they tore down the old one this summer to make way for the new student center construction so it has to be located in the old sbarro's for a year or two.

My old campus, SFSU, yes. It's called The Pub. http://www.sfsustudentcenter.com/ser...estaurants.php

My current campus Academy of Art U, nope. As far as I know, school policy forbids alcohol on campus. AAU is located in the financial district in SF anyway so bars-are-a-plenty.

We have The Rathskeller on campus. It's popularity varies, but getting a shot at noon on your 21st birthday at The Rat has become a Mason tradition.

Did the Delta Chis hang out there? That would be perfect.

I forgot to add, Grambling State University. No as this school also forbids ak-a-hol on campus and at campus functions on or off campus.
