That's why y'all think 88 is summer. In Michigan, 88 degrees is summer. In Texas, it has to be 100 to be summer!

I know it is Spring because the ducks are doing what they do to make more ducks all over the whole darn neighborhood. One pair almost got run over by a car because they were in the middle of the street.

I also know it is Spring because the daffodils have grown to about 3 inches above the ground.

I also know it is Spring because instead of massive amounts of snow, we're getting massive amounts of rain. I like rain better. I don't have to shovel rain.

It's spring?

- The sun is out!
- People find excuses to get out of work early so they can sit on a terrace and drink a beer at 4 in the afternoon
- When it rains, it poors
- Every single female is in a state of panic because of the not-so-bikini-ready state of their bodies.

I just saw bare muffin tops at the grocery store...yecch...

It's 65 degrees one day and 89 the next.(that is/was the forecast for today and tomorrow here in KC)

The God awful smelly Bradford Pear trees are blossoming.

My teenager and her friends want to tan to get ready for pool season.

That's what I say!!!-running today in 95 degree heat, it feels like summer already. Back to running at sundown:(

It must be spring cause the butt cheeks are out!!

My volume of laundry has gone down considerably. During the winter with two runners I do laundry every day -- tights, long sleeve shirts, jackets, hats, gloves, balaclavas, etc. Now it's just shorts and shirts!

Also I can stop running with a headlamp on since the sun rises at 6am.

And I have to start mowing the grass again.

If I remember right, your kids should about be to the age that they can start helping with this...unless they're terrified of the lawnmower, like I was (ok, AM).:p

Love the new sig, by the way.

One is, the other isn't. The question is whether I'm terrified of the thought of him with a lawnmower. We'll see.

Extra points if you can name the source.

We have winner! :D

It's not as well known a song here; lots of people would probably recognize the melody, and it is in our songbook, but only the first verse.

Tulip86 04-09-2011 10:47 AM

They still sing it here at most colleges at the opening af the academic year. That's why the NMs (and NMs of most other GLOs here) learn the song
