LOL.

And my answer remains the exact same. Were all of the Deltas always nice to me? No. Did they introduce Delta to me and/or go out of their way for public relations in hopes of advertising Delta or swaying nonmembers' perceptions and decisions? Hell no. Like I said, we have programs and rush/informational announcements. That's enough. As for people being nice to one another, that's just people being nice to one another. You win some and you lose some.

For the record, those who are in charge of Greek Life at schools are not "created equally." Their perspectives will be based on their observations and experiences. And there are still some who don't know what the hell they're talking about regarding some topics. In contrast, this woman knows what she's talking about, but I simply don't think it applies beyond the same old "oh yeah, be nice to people," overstating of what some consider the obvious, conclusion.

Wow, you said a mouthful (and I don't mean a people mouthful, I mean a whale mouthful).

Any time someone starts throwing up the "5 steps" like they're the Dead Sea Scrolls, their credibility kind of plummets in my eyes. Lots and lots of chapters of GLOs and other organizations have been doing that for DECADES - they just didn't write it down because it was second nature. The fact that anyone can't figure that concept out just kind of baffles me.

At my PWI, I never found the NPHC groups (who I'm pretty sure were all part of citywide chapters) to be "statistically irrelevant." Their members were visible as members of whichever group they were in, as well as active in the college community. If anything, we were impressed by the higher standards for academics and involvement that they set. She just sounds like another version of the people who think everyone who signs up for rush (NPC or NIC) should end up with a bid.

LOL. There are so many places that I can go with that picture. LOL. Thanks for the hat.
