Anyway, back to the sorority recruitment part of the question. |
@DrPhil, if I was scoffing, you'd know it.
But sure, back to the OP. |

This: I will remember, in the future, to clarify or level the playing field when entering a discussion. Honestly had no idea there was such a discrepancy in eligibility requirements or definition of "with honors." My bad for not asking for a clarification. Fell into the old trap of only applying my own knowledge to a situation, without investigating.
Am still curious as to the honors distinction, based on GPA, but bottom line: the OP is getting good advice on how to prepare for upcoming recruitment, so back to the original topic I will go. I posted in another thread the ilnk to the sticky on sorority recruitment; it's one of the top posts if the OP will go to that section of GC. Hope that contributes to her question. |

As with many topics, it doesn't fly if showing where your view is coming from is followed by dismissing other views as invalid or nonexistent.

Right now is probably a good time to start looking for people to write you recs! Use all your contacts and ask around to see if anyone you know is a sorority member from one of the sororities on your campus. If you can't find one for a specific chapter, you should start looking for a local Panhellenic organization to try and get recs. They don't need to be sent out any time too soon, but looking for people to write them will save you a lot of scrambling at the end. :)
