(for those who care, that makes two smilies I have used. Trying to overcome my fear of smilies.) |
It wasn't that big a deal. A guy PMed me and claimed that he was a Beta Beta (Trinity College) alumnus and was now living in NYC. He asked if I could get him in touch with the Delta (NYU) alumni. I said sure, but asked for his information so I could give it to them. But the entire time I was suspicious because he didn't sign his pms as a Brother even though I did. So I got in touch with IHC and they never heard of the guy. Told him and he claimed that they probably didn't get the paper work and I never heard from him again.

AOIIs are known for their intelligence, charm, strong sisterhood and dedication to improving their communities - just like every other NPC group.

I think your stereotype is... the dumb one. :D As for AOII, I agree with my sister-- it's a great organization!

is that a troll flounce?
I <3 my AOII (panhellenic)sisters. One of the very best graduate students I ever supervised was an AOII. Amazing woman. Smart and beautiful. ETA: I only belong to one GLO but I am fortunate to call many Panhellenic women "sisters". |
just everyone thinks im fake on here and it really hurts!:(

We're a community of usernames. It's not that serious.

Leaving aside that there rarely is such a thing as a national stereotype of an organization -- what stereotypes there may be tend to vary from campus to campus or region to region -- why in the world do you think people here would be interested in perpetuating stereotypes*? And if you love your sisters and your organization as much as you claim to, why would you want to ask anyone to perpetuate stereotypes abot them? Why would you care what any stereotypes are? Bottom line: One of the basic GC rules is that we don't do reputations/stereotypes here. Like your big (from whom you should have taken the hint), we know better. * a set of inaccurate, simplistic generalizations about a group that allows others to categorize them and treat them accordingly |
