A Coach handbag, and a new computer. I am in college, and I didn't really need the Coach, but I love expensive, well made purses, and I said, "Why not?" The computer was a necessity-my old one was acting all screwy and I needed one that could keep up with what I needed to do...

They make this plain disc-shaped gold Zeta pendant with the dove (my mother has one of this type). They also make some of the pendants with diamonds placed around the dove. I got the only one that had the diamonds, but also has a blue sapphire at each wing tip. I debated spending the $$ on it, but since Sorors LOVE it, I guess I made the right call. The company is based out of Los Angeles (I'll try and remember the name of the company). |
The most expensive thing I've ever bought for myself was my high school ring. I graduated in '94, but my father and I had our differences and, since I've inherited his stubbornness, I HAD to have that ring. My thing was that I have six other fingers that I could choose from to put a college ring on (not including my left forefinger; I wanna keep that one clear :D :rolleyes: ) so what was the point in him trying to tell me that I can't get the dang ring? Five years later, I bought it for $420, including tax and the price for the diamonds. When he saw it, he said it was pretty. The fact of the matter was that I was gonna get it anyway, so why should he have hated on my decision??? ;)

If we are strictly talking gifts, sort of frivilous and not necessary, I would say this diamond ring I bought. I actually go a really go deal for it, and I wear it all the time.

Just bought myself a Movado watch. $1750. I have never been so attached to a peice of jewelry before. Men don't get to wear a lot of expensive jewelry that is really tasteful, so I am excited and happy.
