No -- my newer or "favorite" clothes get the black hangers (they're a bit thicker). The older clothes get the white hangers (skinny, a little bit cheaper).

I use wire hangers ;) I really like them.

Pet peeves: Grammar, it's not hard! I promise!

AGDee 03-03-2011 09:43 PM

Mine are primarily grammar related also.
"I seen"
"flustrated"

Or any botching of phrases such as "For all intensive purposes" <cringe> "waiting with baited breath" <cringe>

And, of course your, you're, their, there, etc.

No offense to AGDee, and any other members who were born and raised in Michigan, but I'm going to say my biggest pet peeve is Michigan drivers. I've never been to any state where people drive this slow and bad. It's really, really frustrating.

I also hate it when people run their mouths in the movie theater.

people who clip their nails in public. just hearing the sound of the nail clipper is disgusting to me. i dont understand why people wont take care of their nail grooming at home and in private.

Michigan? You've never had the pleasure of driving around DC. Out of DC, MD and VA, I think Maryland drivers are the worst. I think that they were never taught that a turn signal exists.

I have to differ. DC drivers pale in comparison to Boston drivers.

You must live in Connecticut.....

DiamondAthena 03-04-2011 10:36 AM

My husband lived in DC for a bit (in fact he was taught to drive there) And he claims ppl there don't use the signal because ppl would speed up if they knew you wanted to change lanes. LOL

Mine is the sound of grinding teeth. I've been known to wake someone up with a pinch if they do it while asleep. Also, I think I was crowned Grammar Queen, but that means when I make mistakes I CRINGE if I can't "take it back". I LOVE THE EDIT BUTTON!

I really do hate wire hangers. Anyone who knows me knows that I cringe when I see people putting clothes on wire hangers. Dry cleaners bother me because they use wire hangers. LOL. I'm not crazy about it but I am known for confiscating wire hangers and buying plastic or wood hangers and "ordering" family members to hang an entire closet full of clothes on the new hangers.

OMG! I HATE wire hangers! My husband dry cleans EVERYTHING and leaves these stupid hangers all over my house. I've found them in by bed under the covers. Sometimes I feel like Mommy Dearest screaming, "No wire hangers!!!"

Misuse of the infinitive.

I hear all the time, "The car needs washed."

No. The car needs "to be" washed.

Low water pressure. Long thick curly hair takes forever to rinse when the shower is but gently misting you.

Blotchy print in paperback books, especially when it's crystal clear on one page and blotchy on the very next.

When people say, "I could care less" when they mean "I couldn't care less." I don't know why, but that bugs me the most. Also when people spell y'all, "ya'll." T_T

Knight Shadow, my husband has major OCD. His clothes are coodinated to color hangers. For example, all slack are with blue hangers, short sleeve shirts green hangers, and long sleeve shirts are purple hangers. They all have a rotation so he know what clothes are to be worn on which day.

I think Einstein (or some other big-brain) did something similar to this, just so he didn't have to think about clothing.

You probably want to avoid ever coming to Pittsburgh or western PA in general. We do this ALL the time.

Didn't Einstein wear the same thing every day...?

I admit it... I won't go more than 10 over and people get really ticked off and get on my tail when I'm going 80 already. I think if I'm going 10 over, I get to be in the fast line, deal with it. Besides, the car in front of me isn't going faster than 80 either so Mr. Impatient Ride My Tail isn't going to get very far if he gets past me.

I really hate when all the lanes are going about the same speed (over the speed limit) and some joker is crazily going from lane to lane, as if they will break some magic spell and be able to get through if they keep switching lanes. I can't begin to imagine how tense these people are. It makes me want to sing Bob Marley to them "Don't worry, be happy".
