Yeah, I totally thought this was a parody thread.

It would be much less embarrassing for me if it was :) Hooray for overreacting.

Altho it's rare that I take threads like this seriously, to help you out, I will recommend that you get a box of baking soda (not powder, SODA) and mix ONE TABLESPOON with hot water...drink it straight down. You will probably burp for awhile but it should neutralize the sauce.

you are welcome.

PS ...and don't read the last thread I just created.

Seriously, you need to do some meditation or take several deep cleansing breaths or something. You're way over the line on the anxiety meter. It'll interfere with your ability to participate in recruitment much more than the pasta sauce.

And yay! loved Sen's animation; I'm going to use it in a lecture I'm preparing - thanks!

I'm currently going through recruitment and I CAN'T get food poisoning I can't I can't I can't. It's been an hour and I already feel funny. If I make myself sick would this prevent food poisoning? Or does anyone have any other ideas?

Pepto.
Feel better, take a deep breath and good luck on your recruitment!

Drink lots of alcohol to disinfect the blood stream.

Leaches also help.

A momentary freakout and subsequent post doesn't mean that I'm way over the line on the anxiety meter. It just means I had a moment. It happens. I freak out for five minutes and then I'm fine.

It was somewhat valid anxiety though imo - I was indeed feeling sick prior to discovering the pasta sauce mix-up. I'm still feeling nauseated.

My pride is tugging at me to delete this thread but I can laugh at myself. I recognize this was silly.

(just wait til tomorrow when I come back and let you know I have food poisoning :p)

Well, worst case scenario food poisioning only lasts a day or two usually! Honestly I think this thread is funny but also kind of useful - at least other PNMs poking around on GC will realize that they are not alone in feeling stressed out :)

Let my silliness be a comfort to all ;)

Sorry, but you've posted several times in the past 48 hours on a variety of recruitment-related issues, and I'm not the only one who has noticed and remarked on your anxiety. If you're going to freak out for five minutes, fine. Just don't hit the send button.

toquador...
Don't be embarrassed! Recruitment makes most people nervous. I always get weird-ed out when I eat something "questionable." And when you want to be your best, the worry is even higher. Try to enjoy yourself. As my mom always advises, have a cup of tea.

I appreciate your honesty, as well as the honesty of others who have noticed or remarked on my posts, because it's given me perspective and perspective has allowed me to see that some of these posts have been unwise. I've recognized and admitted this. I've corrected my posts where necessary. I'd appreciate your respect of the fact that sometimes people act unwisely and make mistakes, seeing as how I have admitted my mistakes and corrected my actions. I truly think there's no need for anything other than respect on these forums.

Ok, see here's where you went from acknowledging your mistakes to making them again.

Why shouldn't people respect one another?
