I did go to another school last year and even though those credits transfer over the gpa does not. I did have a good time even though I didn't get to complete recruitment! The sororities were really friendly and I liked what they were about!

However if you transfer schools, a lot of times the school you transfer to does not accept the GPA from the school you transferred from. You just get credit/nocredit for the classes based on your new school's requirements.

This is exactly correct. She could have 4.0's both semesters from university B but University A will only take her University A GPA into account which she has said is a 2.53. So chances are her credits transfered so she's junior standing with a 2.5. ANd that would be a HUGE grade risk.
