I just thought that the sorority members on this site might just know. That's all

I doubt anyone is going to write on their recruitment registration form, "My sister is an XYZ, but she's really only my half-sister, is that ok?" If you were raised together as sisters, you're sisters. The whole legacy thing is a courtesy to the sister, and I know I'd be miffed if I had a half-sister who was as close to me as a full sister and she were not treated as a legacy just because we had different mothers.

Since you've already been thru recruitment last fall, did you not care about this at the time? And since you really only need the info for the groups on your campus, why not just ask specifically for them?

Meanwhile, I have a hard time imagining that, legacy-wise, any GLO makes a distinction between full siblings and half-siblings. |
I meant that so that she wouldn't "out" her sister's group....

Relying on strangers on the intarwebz to confirm sorority specific policies is dumb. Publishing some sort of cumulative list here based on your "findings" is even dumber. Just ask your half sister to confirm with her organization and complete the appropriate form if that is their legacy policy. Simple. Fast. Effective.

Greekchat is really not a smart place for most PNMs/aspirants to do more than silently read. This is the fault of both the PNMs and the NIC/NPC/NPHC who continue to entertain certain topics and questions. |

You know besides just having sis fill out the form. Because if you're not a legacy then you're not and they'll ignore the form, and if you are they'll take it, |
Whoa you guys, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to cause any drama. Let me explain a few things.
I didn't want to say the sororities on my campus specifically, because of course that would identify my campus. Additionally, I was curious about all the sororities policies. The legacy issue was not an issue until now. I'm sorry if you guys thought I was being dumb. That definitely wasn't my intention. I didn't think this was an odd question and to be honest, I see it being asked in the future. I don't think it's odd to be able to create a list. |

I think you should have your half-sister contact her organization for clarification. That would be completely acceptable for her to do and will ultimately answer your question correctly.
