They can't support a little girl who was accidentally killed? The little girl did nothing and she most likely didn't even understand violence. She was an unwilling participant.
Police officers do understand violence and are willing participants on the side of the law. It doesn't make an officer's death excusable or not mourn worthy, but it means that no officer signs up for the job without understanding the possible repurcussions. Children do not sign up for anything nor should there be such repurcussions for childhood.

I agree with everything you say. And yeah they can support a little girl. Sometimes I feel like their public support is more for their image and not for the actual family/victims, but like you said we don't know what happens behind closed doors.
I guess with this situation it's just upsetting because everyone has been forgetting the original victim in this situation, the teenage boy. His uncle or Godfather or whoever came on the news when it was found that Al and Jesse would be supporting the little girl's family and be there for the funeral. He mentioned how his godson (?) was murdered and if they weren't harboring a murderer that little girl could still be around. He also asked what about his godson? Everyone was focusing on the little girl (which is very true) and everyone has forgotten his godson.
Drole I'm not sure about the duplex situation. I haven't heard anything about that. Just that when the cops went in, set off the cherry bomb or whatever it is, the grandmother struggled with teh cop, his weapon accidentally went off and shot the girl, and the man was caught upstairs.
