I totally think they shouldn't have sent the kids home.

But then again I have seen what happens when a culture a has a flag day and the kids go all out and then another culture B decided to go all out on another day "in response" even though that flag day is during the summer. Then culture A decides to repeat their flag day on the same day as culture B in response to them responding to culture A! FAIL ON ALL SIDES! The campus administration didn't know what to do! I'm half one of the cultures, and even I sat that day out. (I don't even own any flags like that anyway). I don't think much happened (not that I remember) but things were tense that day. And I went to a nice school.

I cannot believe we would send kids home for wearing the flag or it's colors. I don't care if it is "shennanigans". I agree and call it BS too.

Clearly the schools administration aren't real Americans and hate us for our freedoms.

But yes, Cinco de Mayo is not really even celebrated in Mexico. Mexico celebrates its independence in September.

I wouldn't go that far.

I can see how wearing the American flag on such a day could represent a protest of sorts, especially after this illegal immigration law. If kids weren't wearing flag regalia anyway and just started doing so, it could seem rather convenient.

Kicking the kids out is still nonsense.

Let's pass a resolution banning the town the school is in.
