Okay dokay... I appreciate the people who offered advice but I think everybody else on here needs to calm done and tone down on the bitchy. I am neither impressed nor intimidated by your "insider" information. I was simply asking a harmless question on KKG. I am not looking to force my way into it or that intensly interested. You don't need to look into it that deeply or be so guarded and upset. I thought the idea of a forum was asking questions. I am coming to the conclusion that maybe sororities are not that nuturing and supportive and that you are all a bit obsessed with yourselves. I was figuring since you all preach "sisterhood", that you would be helpful. I am going to return to reality now. So long.

Says the girl who came here looking to figure out what Kappa is looking for in members. But we're obsessed.

It's the classic "OMG I wanna be in a sorority soooo bad but when the people on the interwebz don't tell me what I wanna know I'm gonna tell them them they're sooo mean."

I love it.

The Kappa ladies in this thread have been nothing but helpful (I have not seen one bitchy response in this thread). And they obviously have something you want.

Firstly, I did not mean that lecture to be towards the people who offered help. I do appreciate the links and such.
Secondly, I do not want to be in a sorority "soooo bad." I think if I did I would have rushed no matter what this year. Being in a sorority was never a goal of mine and it is very likely that it does not fit my personality. That doesn't mean I can't explore my options.
I am not asking for tips on how to get in. I either fit or I don't fit. What I do want to know is how the kappas are at IU. I would like to know more about them not what they look for in girls. I think people are flattering themselves a little too much to think I am that coo-coo over kappa. I am not in a frenzy to get in, I am not obsessed to get in, I am not awed by them; I am interested in them, or rather was. GET OVER YOURSELF! It was a question. Not a plea written in blood to get into Kappa. I really should not have bothered explaining myself but I think some of the girls on here need to come back to earth. I didn't profess love with them so to say I did makes you look very full of yourself. When I say "you", I mean the ppl this pertains to. I challenge anybody to find a quote where it was supposedly apparent that I am "dying to get in" or that I want to be in a sorority "sooo bad". This forum seems like a community that is used to whiny girls who ask how to get into sororities too often and get upset by newbies who they assume are acting in that manner.

It's just that it's kind of obvious you have a preference for Kappa going into recruitment (as a soph, I might add), when a large percentage of people who go through Indiana recruitment go bidless. I think it's important to not set yourself up for disappointment and try to learn more about ALL the groups at IU.

I hope this isn't part of the "incorrect advice" that everyone is so upset about lately, but I'm pretty sure I'm correct in saying that Indiana has a competitive recruitment.

Yeah, I did, so far, have a preference for KKG and Chi Omega. They both appeared to have nice girls. So yes, i did have a preference but I wasnt itching to get in either.

Alright lady, your just never going to be happy and that is fine. If you are so adverse to me then quit responding. because right now "you came here" to my post repeatedly. If my post offends you so much then quit disecting my words. I am aware of what I wrote. I was conscious when I typed it.

i love how you keep putting quotes that I am supposedly thinking. Like the I want to be in a sorority "sooo bad" and the "oohhh nooooo, please be interested in us again." because last time I checked, that is not what was going through the brain, but thanks for that touch. It added pizzaz.

Yes I have been here for I year and all I have heard is that they are on probation and are sluts that blackout at frats. Obviously this is very bias info thats why I came here. The stuff I have been hearing on campus is not very flattering but I figured that is just people slandering their name but then again maybe I am wrong. Thank you for pointing that out because I was not planning on bringing that up. Don't believe me you can also check out greekrank, its not a pretty picture at all. They are ranked the worst right now. I was hoping to hear otherwise from you girls but so far it looks like you are holding up the the reputation of being bitches. yeah, ouch.

And I also love how in the links you provided me, the same members were total assholes to the girl who started the thread on IU recruitment. It seems bitchiness is a trend here. What a great attitude you girls have. You tried to turn this negativity on me but really just showed your true colors by your repeated behavior and unkindness to others on here.
