People don't get EXPELLED for just anything. Duh.

I don't have respect for anyone who does anything that is worthy of EXPULSION.

And if I don't respect you, we can't be friends. Period. If I see you with letters, they might be mine when I leave your presence.

You members of BGLO know how easy it is to get caught up in the paper vs made thing when you are young. So think about it as if it was your LB or LS. The person you crossed the sands with, the person you party with, the person you do community service with and most of all the person that has always had your back. If you are a good soror that love the org and just made a mistake and get booted I will still show you love. I don't think we should turn our backs on a soror or frat because of a mistake.

Hmmm, There is getting caught up (repping and telling war stories of what you went through) and then there is CAUGHT UP.

That's why it is hard for me to have sympathy for your sorors because of my experience in the BGLO.

Unfortunately I don't know the story behind the why (know only what you have told us...which may have only been told to you since you yourself haven't been suspended) but from my experience the ones that get CAUGHT UP are the ones that constantly roam from chapter to chapter asking the infamous "You got some boys on line?"

They (and the chapters that are foolish enough to fall for it) need a lesson in POLICIES and PROTOCOL.

Like Sensuret said, it's a very dangerous game hanging with expelled members. I can't speak for your org (peeked and saw you repping SGRho) so I don't know what went behind the decision to expel the members from the organization, but those decisions aren't made lightly. (Nobody went to the hospital but got expelled swinging wood...hmmm).

Let's say this, I would never tell them if we were having a line.

Every org is different and some may have no tolerance policies these days, which could indeed cause members to be expelled for "swinging a little wood."

Are you kidding?

If someone is EXPELLED from my organization, it is because she had blatant disregard for my sorority and what it stands for. I think I could only be friends with such a person if she truly showed remorse for what she did. She should NOT wear letters or represent the sorority in any way.

To the OP, it seems like you're trying to justify that they still have a right to wear letters. I'm pretty sure you got love for them and all, but at the end of the day, they can't wear letters once they're expelled. Plain and simple.

Fatal1913 04-15-2010 04:09 PM

I gather she's trying to justify not checking her homie...

Which is true, but I still had to question.

Not everybody would come on a public forum and say, (in a nutshell) "They got expelled because they 'swang' a little wood. I mean nobody went to the hospital. So I had to hmm, especially since this is being told by somebody that was not there.

**Flashing back**

Wait can't be doing that. Stop flashing back.

Amen!!

We actually did this during Rush this semester. One of our expelled members was walking around campus wearing letters, so we confronted him and took them.
