eh maybe give DC a shot - it's very intense, very simple music - easily obtained via morpheus etc. It's good stuff man

Your compliment was much appreciated. I'm glad someone else has heard what I hear in the music of Of A Revolution. Sadly enough my major doesn't pertain to writing in the least... Econ. I guess I must limit my mental meanderings to my journal. ;) Cory- Anytime you are in Southern California.... Moxie- -So moved On -Conquering Fools -The Wanderer -City on Down (another vote) -Missing Pieces ("I woke up with a headache from the night before, 'cause sometimes I drink, I spent the night with my head in a toilet bowl, That's where I like to think, Said 'cause I don't want no one to take a piece of my heart....") Just off the top of my head....click on SigmaChiCard's link to the OAR site and go to their discography. I'll have to post more later. I'm at work. |
another brilliant talent I've meant to speak of is the band...Dispatch. Have you heard of them? If not, I encourage you to begin with "The General", it's their base song kind of like "Crazy Game of Poker" for O.A.R.

Alright kids, we've just got to have some kind of a GC conclave.
I've decided it'd be one hell of a party! I really believe you can tell much about a person's spirit from what they feel in the music they lean towards.... You all are beautiful. Just beautiful. I love ya man! |
O.A.R. is playing here tomorrow night - i'm going to try to make the show even though i already have tons of homework and have Dance Marathon and informal rush meetings up the wazoo!! Should be an awesome one though - i'm pumped :D

Just thought I would make it a little easier for you guys to access. If O.A.R. is in your town, I urge you to make every effort to see them. |
A fan in San Antonio
So about two months ago I downloaded "Untitled" and it was OK, but I didnt think it was anyhting to write home about. But seeing pbchk's post last week, I read over the whole thread, and decided to give it another shot, and download all the songs ya'll recommended - knowing that brotherhood retreat was this past weekend (a whole 'nother thread) so I could burn a Cd and have something to listen to on the 5 hour car trip each way. Well, I hadnt even reached Corpus Christi before I was HOOKED. these guys rock. I am so pissed I didnt check them out sooner. Kudos to Cory for the orig. post. I just burned a CD for my sister and brother in law cause I'll be seeing them this weekend. No one here has ever heard of them, so I know at Greek Week in 2 weeks I'll be the cool kid with the cool music that everyone is digging on - Cause they will be. Its infectious.

I gotta back you up on the Dispatch thing. I'm getting more and more into O.A.R, but Dispatch is really good too. They were going to play here at BU, but we're getting Guster instead (who I would also highly suggest listening to).
