This is why I'm so glad that I grew up before Facebook, Myspace or text messages became a way to gossip. I had AOL and there were some interesting things that happened in the chat rooms back in the day. I can only imagine if we had something like Facebook.....

I keep thinking about this situation. While she was a fool to have that list and squealing on her brother about the beer wasn't cool, the "punishment" doesn't seem to fit the crime here. Yeah, she told on him and he's grounded for 3 months. He would get over that.. in 20 years, it would seem like no big deal. His actions though may very well have destroyed her ability to even function in school and revealing something like this has probably destroyed any chance of their ever having a decent relationship in the future. Most siblings have fights or tattle on each other over the course of their childhood but get over it as adults and become more close. I can't see these two ever getting past this though. As funny as it was at first, when I really sit and think about it, it's a life changing move on the brother's part.
