Kinda sorta. He's the guy who said that God was going to "call him home" if he didn't raise $8 million in 3 months. That was an interesting 3 months.

The one that freaked me out was Kathryn Kuhlman!! Scary eyes...FREEEEEAAKY.

I remember that ...I'm from Baton Rouge where Swaggart's church and Bible College was. I remember people crying on the evening news saying, "The church without Jimmy Swaggart is like Christianity without Jesus!"
There is still the carcase of an unfinished dorm from the Bible College on Bluebonnet Lane marking his folly.

I get Bob Jones and Jim Jones confused. Which is why I was :eek: when I first heard of Bob Jones University. I couldn't figure out why a school would be named after the cyanide kool-aide guy.

Then again, I'm a midwestern Catholic, so I'm not up on my televangelists.
