for mobile users, it would make sense to have them on the right side.

then again, if "m.greekchat.com" existed, we'd be ok. then again, small steps, right?

I don't like the size of it.
Another forum, citydata, has them but they're much smaller and don't use logos, just a brief line and a Website address. Those aren't as intrusive.

I'd also probably like all of the advertisements on the left side of the screen. While it's not a HUGE deal, it's annoying that the first thing I read while entering every thread is "1 Tip of a Flat Belly".

haha I get that ad and a Greek Dish Network ad with a bunch of Greek networks on it...not that kind of greekchat!!

It'd be nice if maybe the ads were a page break. Maybe if they were just a line of small Google ads that went horizontal rather than the ads being an actual intrusive post.

ETA: Kind of like this:

If you're using Fire Fox you have plenty of "options" for making this happen.

You = the individual user or you = John the site developer?

I tried it....and then I lost my "Reply" box. Any tips?

Gotta hate when you lose your box. I'm sorry, my mind is in the sub-gutter today.

I like the advertisements on the top or bottom, so I don't have to see them on the screen all the time...but I do NOT appreciate quick flashing advertisements.

The first GC ad in a thread I read was actually for Border's advertising the Twilight series in the New Moon thread. I was thinking that was appropriate advertising, but now I just scroll past them and don't read them.

You only need the "Fire" link for this site, not the "Fox" link. FYI, it makes Facebook ads disappear too. Amazing!

That's what I tried, and my reply box was gone. What did I do wrong? lol
