A word to the wise: there are a few sellers who deal in these old prints. They are (steel plate) engravings removed from old college yearbooks. there was one seller a while ago selling photocopies vs. old engravings. Be sure to read the listing and make sure the seller specifies it is a vintage piece!! (really, this goes for most of the old greek stuff on ebay-read the listing multiple times and be sure about what you're buying.) I've purchased the real-deal and been very happy with the prints. I've also almost made the mistake of buying the knockoffs, but thankfully realized it before bidding. I know some friends who were not so lucky.

The one I bought from this seller was definitely an original. But I do agree, be sure to check. I know there was another seller a while ago who was selling copies.

On Ebay...

Well, I have a collection of APO items.

Have about 3/4ths of our National magazine.

I have a sterling silver chapter key (this was an early award available in 3 forms: 18c gold, gold case, and sterling silver).

I have examples of our first service pin (called a 'service button') and plege pin (called a 'pledge button'). They were screw-backs instead of pins.

I got a copy of the only book written by our founder, a college text book on....poetry writting and appreciation.

Oh goodness- this is an old style badge before they were standardized... I'd roughly guess this is pre 1920s! Thanks for the link!

I thought it was older. Very pretty. I hope it goes to an AChiO sister!

Psi U MC Vito 12-08-2009 03:02 AM

I don't have pictures, but I wanted to share something I saw and heard about today. One is an actual program from the 50th anniversary of Psi Upsilon in 1883. The brother had photocopied and blew it up so we could all see it.

I was also talking to another brother and he mentioned that he had a copy of the 1842 membership directory, which is the first membership directory for a fraternity ever printed. According to him there were also apparently two forgotten founders of Psi Upsilon. Oh and this directory, is one of only two known copies.

The AXO badge that was mentioned earlier on this thread? It went for over $900 dollars. I just hope it was a sister...
