The reasons the liberals get the criticisms on this topic is because of their "extremist" members.

The extreme Republicans are all the Christian-Coalition-everyone-is-going-to-hell-except-us-graduated-from-Bob-Jones-University-we-don't-understand-minorities-and-why-can't-women-just-stay-home-and-shut-up folks.

The extreme liberals are the hard-core-left-wing-government-handouts-for-everyone-I-would-willingly-kill-you-to-save-a-tree-but-no-way-should-we-ever-use-the-death-penalty-even-for-child-killers-Group-Hug-For-Peace people.

Both extreme factions tarnish the public image of the groups with which they are associated.

I think it's safe to say that most Democrats want Osama to come to a colorful ending just as much as any Republican does. We are all Americans, and we all want that little bastard to get what he deserves.

O/T - Yeah, the smallest groups tend to scream the loudest and ruin everything for everyone else. Sort of like how I'm a feminist but people assume I hate men because of the extremely small but extremely loud minority faction that corrupts the word "feminism."
