I was wondering that myself until I realized our daughthers pledged at the same time and will also be graduating this spring. College has been whirlwind. I'ts funny how other people's kids stay the same age ( in our minds) , but our chidren don't.
Best of luck to everyone!

I'm a little late to the party, but congrats to you, your daughter and future son-in-law, FSUZeta!!

(And for what it's worth, I asked my my father-in-law, too. His reaction -- he started whooping -- made a memory my wife still treasures. ;))

Congrats FSUZeta!

On the "asking for permission" thing - I did talk to my father-in-law before I proposed. We're pretty close though (he's like a second father to me), so it was more to give him (and my mother in law) a head's up that I would be proposing.

To be honest, I really didn't think of doing it any other way (and I'm a born and raised New Englander).

Congrats FSUZeta!

That's such exciting news :) I hope that they have a wonderful engagement and marriage!

I also expect a guy who is interested in proposing to talk to my dad first--then again, it may depend on the type of the relationship the daughter & dad have with each other. I'm close to mine, and still call him daddy even when I'm 19 years old... so it's a must for my future husband. That's just my preference though!

Congratulations again! :)
