I know you're new, but that situation was discussed ad nauseam when it happened. We've tried to not keep bringing it up out of respect for the nice and sweet DZs who post here.

They were hardly the first or last sorority to do this, they were just the ones whose management at the time had ghastly PR skills. Technically, the attractiveness of the girls was not the main thing objected to, it was the fact that they were appreciably smaller than most groups on a very high-profile Greek campus. If they would have been at total and looked like warthogs no one would have given a crap.

I know many people would like to think everything is peachy and creamy among Greeks alike, but somehow I seriously doubt that... :confused:

No one is saying that.

What we're saying is that Depauw DZ has been discussed 80 million times here.

So bringing it up here is kind of pointless.

There are plenty of Depauw DZ threads if you'd like to do a search.

So, basically what you are saying is that its true.
I guess I hope that I will actually like being in this sorority despite the fact that its not considered the "hot" one. I'm not unattractive at all, I just hope people wouldn't mind being associated with me.

No matter WHICH chapter you were in, someone would have something to say about it.

There's the "slutty chapter." The "jock girl chapter." You get the idea.

What we're saying is that YOU can't let this determine what YOUR experience within the sorority.

You can't let someone ELSE'S opinion of YOUR sorority affect how YOU experience it and how YOU feel about.

We don't deny that it happens, but you have to ask yourself how much stock you're going to put in what other people say.

Whether you choose to enjoy being in the chapter despite what people are saying is up to you.

The girls who tend to have the best experiences within their sororities are probably the girls who could care less which frat boy thinks their sorority is "the hottest."
