I wonder why the husband said to Andrea that the son was out of her league (i.e. "too good for her")? That seems kinda rude, although maybe he is trying to protect her so that she stays away from him? Hmmmmm...... |
I was thinking they looked like acid burns, but who knows.
|
I thought they looked like burns too
|
I also thought they were burns. From what? I guess that's the mystery of the season. It felt a little repetitive to me though... new neighbors with a strange son who may be dangerous? again?

Oh yeah.. do we know who committed suicide in Edie's house? I don't remember that.. and her house was burned to the ground when Susan set it on fire, wasn't it? So it wouldn't have actually been THAT house, would it? The house that Mary Alice killed herself in was the one that the creepy African American family moved into and isn't that the one the gay couple is in now or the one that Katheryn is in? Where did that story come from??
I do like Drea de Mateo. I was expecting her to have a Joisey accent like on Sopranos and I never watched her other show, so I just think of her as Adrianna. |

Maybe the gay guy / realtor was referring to Edie's suicide attempt, when she was trying to win back Carlos?? Katheryn lives in a separate house...I think it was the house that she lived in before moving away. I assume that Edie's burned down house was rebuilt on the same spot? |
The other explanation I can think of for the suicide thing is remember Orson's ex-wife Alma Hodge? I think her death was seen as a suicide since she fell off the roof.
|
This is definitely the Applewhite house. I can't remember completely but didn't the son who was involved with Bree's daughter commit suicide? I remembee it ended with a gun shot.
|
Maybe he was lying? Or maybe it was an inconsistency by the writers that the editors didn't catch. Someone messed up, I think. I just remember thinking "Who the heck killed themselves?" and he specifically said "Shot", I think. When Edie attempted suicide, it was by hanging. I guess things could have happened during the 5 year jump that we don't know anything about because I got the impression that Edie had left and then her and Dave moved back to Mayfair. So confusing. Never mind, we'll ignore the details!

Umm, guys...Mary Alice killed herself in that house. The guy even said she shot herself.

The realtor implied that Edie was the previous owner of the house, saying she died after hitting a pole. Edie had her own house, it burned down, she rebuilt it. Mary Alice never lived in Edie's house. Edie lived on the street during the first episode of the series, when Mary Alice killed herself. Unless, somewhere along the line, Edie bought Mary Alice's house.
Mary Alice's house: Paul and Zach moved out, the Applewhites moved in, then didn't the gay guys buy it after they moved out? |
lol!! When we going to start discussing storylines, I'll be more likely to accept kappamd's theories because the rest of you are already making the 1st episode more mysterious than it was.
Lee said that he had just gotten his realtor's license within in the week. The lady told him that it was a very nice house for his 1st listing. He told her that he lucked out because the former realtor for the street had crashed her car into a pole. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nice_is...rent_Than_Good Eight Weeks Before the Wedding Bree wants the affair to be special and Karl agrees so he plans on getting a motel room. Gaby refuses to become Ana's legal guardian until she sees a change in her behavior. Lynette fears they will never be done raising children. Mike talks to Katherine about marrying Susan so she gives Mike the engagement ring back. Mike feels that it would be best for Susan to talk to Katherine but Susan wants to avoid her for as long as possible. Lee shows the Young house to the new family, the Bolens, but Angie demands to know what the problem with the house is so he informs them of Mary Alice's suicide, but she is completely unaffected by it so they buy the house. Angie reveals that their son Danny was the reason they moved to Wisteria Lane. Danny watches out the window as Susan welcomes Julie back. |

Exactly. He never implied the house was Edie's, only that she was the previous "realtor" for the street. I guess we all just understand his comment differently. |
