I'm going!! Very Very Very excited!

I'll be arriving on Saturday before convention for a few play days before everything starts. As of now, I will also be volunteering in the Foundation room Wed morning 9-1 so come say hi if you are there.... :)

Finally confirmed with my summer job this morning that I'm good to take the time off, so I'm now registered! Yay!!!

Two and a half weeks and counting ladies!!

I liked SmartBlonde's idea, and I'll be working in the Foundation room on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30. If any of you are up that early please come and say hello!

I'm dying to get some new Gamma Phi shirts - I'll happily repay any convention goers who might be willing to pick up one - pm me!

Those who went, how was it?

I saw that Mickey showed up at Confirmed Conventioneers! Awesome!

It was great! So different than my first Convention...it's a little easier knowing the ropes, and recognizing some names and faces this time around. Spirited debate during the business sessions, and a really moving initiation ceremony, which included the initiation of International President Linda Maloney's daughter and Financial VP Amy Peterson's niece, among others. But my favorite part of the whole thing was getting to have several long, productive conversations with the delegates from my collegiate chapter - something I didn't get to do last time. It was so fun to catch up and compare/contrast the chapter today with what it was like 10-13 years ago when we were a brand new chapter.

That said, this Convention was expensive, both in terms of registration and airfare. I'm looking forward to Denver in 2012!

It was fabulous! I will have pictures up soon on my facebook page. I've got them all off my camera, just deciding if I have the energy to post and label them all tonight..... might wait until tomorrow. :)

I am LOVING all the Convention photos I'm seeing on facebook! I truly wish I could have been there.

I really like the idea of Convention 2012 in Denver! I am guessing they will be doing group tours of IH. I have yet to see it, so I will have to start planning now.

Maybe my husband could tag along and we could make a real Colorado ranch vacation out of the whole deal.

I loved Convention. My two favorite parts were volunteering in the Foundation room, which was way better than coffee for kick starting my day, and singing in the ritual choir. That was beyond amazing. I don't have the best voice, but it didn't matter when surrounded by those ladies' voices. Just amazing, and something I hope to do again in Denver.

I wish I could have been there. The sad thing is I live in Florida but it just didn't work out so I'm happy to see all of the pictures posted. Many of my chapter sisters went and I'm glad they got to go. I hope I can make it to Denver.

I had an awesome time as well! It was my first convention and I volunteered in the Alumnae Boutique! We had such an amazing time!! I can't wait until Denver!!! I'm already starting the planning process!! :)
