Personally I'm over these.

Sorry, you asked.

If you're going to do one, just DO IT. I hate it when people beg for attention and ask if we want to hear it.

KSU, this seems a little crabby for you. Are you doing okay?

I'm doing great actually.

I'm just a little over retro threads.

I'm no less of a nice person for being over them.

FYI: She DID ask for opinions.

She asked "Who wants to hear another retro thread?", and I was honest.

So it's not at all like I volunteered my opinion without asking.

I mean, no one told her to delete her thread just because she asked and one person offered an opinion that she didn't like.

And let's be real here. Retro threads were fun like the first summer! Folks have been on this kick for like 3 summers already.

Is it August yet?

It just seemed surprising that you felt like responding. When I'm over stuff, I just don't read it. Typing a response would have to involve a desperate level of boredom or some anger for me. Responding would be even less worth it than just not reading the thread.

I probably read 5-10% of the retro recruitment threads, and I enjoy the ones I read. When I'm not interested, I just don't read them; it doesn't bother me that they exists. But I'm not a moderator. You may feel obligated to read them.

I kind of agree with KSUViolet, these threads have been just dragging on lately. I'm over waiting weeks for "where they ended up"...

I agree too.

So lame - esp the attention seeking "Do you want to hear it???" self-indulgent parts and the "I'm a regular poster on GC but I made up a new username for my recruitment story"

Whatevs. Same ole same ole...but then the posters claim their story is SO DIFFERENT .. riiiiight.
