Does anyone or their bros/sisters have tatoos of their letters?
If so, what do they look like?

tatty

I've always wanted to get one, but I convince myself I cannot because of the future, and now I just see it as it being too late, I'm 21 and I feel that's too old to be getting a tattoo. However, were I to go through with it, I'd most likely get one of two things, either a Griffin or I'd have to get this symbol that I created that combines the meditative buddhist style with everlong concerns. It's the most simplistic drawing that represents me, and my motives absolutely. I'd most likely get it off-centered on my lower back (essentially just above my arse), or on my upper-right shoulder blade. But I think my wild-times have passed long ago, so it's not a likely move.

one of my pledge brothers has his letter tattooed on his left shoulder...they are black with yellow outlining (shadowing) it looks bad ass! He also has his nickname above the letters and our pledge class name and year under the letters..and the letters are in type of wavy like design..damn I need to take pictures and post them...

one more...

A common thing for Brothers of Sigma Chi to do is to get the badge tattooed on their chest in the spot they woud wear it, slightly tilted, just as they'd wear it. Nearly 45% - 50% of our chapter has a Sigma Chi tattoo. Some get letters, many get the norman shield with the letters too, but a third cool one I've seen from my bros is the entire crest, just pretty small, but they're all so cool, I love them.

I don't have my letters tattood, but I do have a turtle on the top of my foot. Actually, two of my sisters did have their letters tattood on them, and found out about a week later that they were not supposed to. I'm not sure if it's exactly a national rule, or just maybe a chapter one, but it does make since. Delta Zetas (and I'm sure most nat'l orgs) are not allowed to wear any form of their letters if they are doing anything that would look bad (ie the bar, drinking, etc.), and if you had a tattoo, you would be wearing your letters permanently. It's just something you might want to check out- I'm not sure about the technicalities of it.

yes..I've contemplated getting our crest on my chest..but that would be my third tattoo..and I think that two is enough now..but I am still thinking about it..it wouldn't be visible with clothing on...and it's not like I'm getting my face tattooed!!!

I hate that..you see people that have their arms and legs, necks, totally tattooed...I mean really, what kind of purpose does that serve? How do you really appear to an interviewer? Unless you are a tattoo artist!

A bunch of my brother have small letter on their ankles and a few have big ones on theri arms. I don't have and tats or piercings.

Honestly, it didn't hurt nearly about as bad as I thought it would. I spent almost an hour crying and jerking away whenever he got close w/ the needle (gun?). I felt like an idiot when I actually let him do it because it wasn't that bad. The only thing is that I guess he kept hitting a nerve or something, because my foot kept jerking involuntarily. I like it because it is so easy to cover up if need be, and it's a relatively original place to get a tattoo.
