I think it is safe to say that the rumor of MysticCat's demise has been greatly (ok, perhaps somewhat) exaggerated. ;)

I need the help of the outstanding public who might have better computer research skills than I do.

I have my doubts as to the realness of this thread/poster.

ETA: why is the public outstanding?

This whole situation needs to be handled internally within your chapter. If you don't get a response from the appropriate people than move up the chain of command with the people in your district or regional area for your national HQ. Either way, this needs to stay within your GLO. Please take Mystic Cat's advice and do not tell us which GLO you are in! This could be hurtful to you down the road...

Am I the only one who thinks that a chapter can deny a person membership if they want to?

It sucks that they'd do so over a reason like this, but why would you want to be around people who discriminate against people anyway?

They don't have to take you if they don't want to, hun.

That's my feeling. I wouldn't fight to get back into a group who kicked me out. You also said this was your second time trying?

Not to mention what is so special about the Org that you decided on what college to go based on the Sorority you wanted to be in?

ditto what otw said. most social organizations are able to deny someone membership and they do not have to tell the person why.
