Moscato is good if you're doing it for dessert, pair it properly or even as an alternative to sparkling wine.
I used to only be able to drink really sweet wine, but I've been on a red kick for the last year. I became a big wine-o after moving to Seattle. LOL. I mostly drink Washington wines, since there's so many out here. We drink a lot of wines from boutique wineries, but we'll keep a few from Chateau Ste. Michelle or Columbia on hand for every day. We're usually able to find tasty wine for under $20. Call me crazy, but I'm not the biggest Cabernet Sauvignon fan. I think it's sort of boring. I really prefer Syrah, Tempranillo, or even Zinfindels. I love regular ol' red blends too. If I want something lighter, I'll go for a Sangiovese. For whites, I like Gewurtztraminer and semi-dry blends. I'm by no means a wine snob. Just a wine lover. :) |
My husband is big into beer (brews his own - it is so nasty), but I can take it or leave it.
White wine is my favorite, especially Rieslings and Pinot Grigios. For a good cheap wine, the Monkey Bay Pinot Grigio is tasty :) |
The ol' rot gut stand-by, ... Mogan David!! It's the Jewish stuff and it is GOOD. Really sweet, ... like grape juice and Vodka, ... the way red wine is SUPPOSED to taste. LOL!
