Not quite a poem...
...but the 'essay' What is a sorority? is always a sentimental and meaningful read...Have read it and sent it to many sisters...If you'd like a copy - kinda long to post here - PM me and I'll send it off...
Some - Time to the tune of Ice Castles and the song (can't rememebr the name) tune to Somewhere Out There...I feel the tears welling up as I type - LOL! Oh yes, Edelwiess is soooo traditional....I can still sing it after all these years - '87 initiate...And knowing the original history of the song Edelwiess makes it a bit more special... I was fortunate enough to find and purchase the very first A-Phi song book published in 1892 (or 1897???) and the songs are sooooooo different but as always the sentiment and love is still the same. |
I would LOVE any resources you can give me. My personal email is etxgal@hotmail.com if you would like to send it there. I just built a Yahoo group (PRIVATE by invite only so confidential stuff remains just that) for our group of Alums (and possibly the collegiates to pending group approval) for a shared resource on stuff like this. Thanks so much for your help. :)

Funny, our version is kind of different. Funny how things change and the words get lost or added to over the years. Kind of like that game we played as children whisper...and at the end the words would be completely different!
APhi Love and Mine\ |
"Lovely Girl", "A, A, Alpha Phi", and of course "Hottie Tottie!"

Alpha Phi Love, Eppo, and All I Needed!
