My senior prom dress was pretty kick ass also. It was also fuschia. The back was out and I had pink stick-on jewels in the shape of a heart on my back. Just thought of some more stuff: *Those little mini butterfly hair clips. My sophomore year school pic, I wore a lavender top with little lavender butterfly hair clips. *Twisting your hair up mutiple times and sticking multiple said hair clips in it. *Those long sweaters with belts. *Turtlenecks with no sleeves. *Frosty pink or white eyeshadow, lipgloss, etc. *Any jewelry from Claire's or Icing. |
1989-92
Neon colored clothing (esp shirts or socks) Anything that was printed with Dollar signs BK's, Vans, or Reeboks, or the "pumping" shoes NFL team coats rolled up pant bottoms (like you were in the 50's) Ruffled blouses KEDS with ankle socks United Colors of Benneton Kriss Kross style TLC style with the condoms attached and because I went to a country high school--- skin tight roper jeans or wranglers Roper boots or justin boots |

2002-6
The only thing I can think of is for girls, the North face black fleece jacket, tights/leggings, and Ugg boots (known as the Trifecta) Skinny jeans had started to become popular about senior year. |
*Those Old Navy fleece vests (seen in the "Dress you up in my love" commercial)
*Ripped jeans were kind of just taking off (bonus if the top was cut off- see first post). |
I don't know about other schools, but the Nike Presto was cool here for like 5 minutes at some point:
http://fastlikerabbit.com/projects/i...nt/rngads1.jpg I had the pink ones! |
^^^ LOL I wanted those so bad, but I don't think they made them in my size
I had to stick with K-Swiss |
OMG I loved/had a pair of Presto for those 5 minutes. Actually, still do love them.
|
huraches'-forgot about those
and those hippie sandals made from water buffalo leather:thong with a toe loop and flat, flat soles. pier one sold them, before they went all housegoods on us. |
The stick on body jewels were a must. Junior prom I had some as a tramp stamp, senior prom I had some on my shoulder. I'm pretty sure both were in the same shape but one was yellow and one was pink.
Remember WIDE WIDE WIDE leg jeans? Skaterpunk wide? |

I remember the girls being really into stretch jeans and slouch socks. Bright colors came back. Baggy jeans and timberlands. Not much has changed, except now boys are wearing "skinny" jeans, but the thugs are still wearing baggy jeans. |
I'm 93-97 too! LOL! And, I've already turned 30.
