This is really sad - I have a ton of respect for Kennedy, in that he's been a great Senator for Massachusetts. He's worked really hard for the Commonwealth, and has been willing to work with Republicans to get legislation pushed through (unlike Kerry, who is unwilling to work with Republicans and doesn't do anything for Massachusetts). |

They say it is a seizure that "went on for a while." Supposedly John Kerry's wife went to Senator Kennedy and tried to help out before he was taken away in a wheelchair. Hopefully he's alright. |

I'll admit that I wasn't Kennedy's biggest fan for a while. But, he does a great job working with Republicans and putting personal interests aside, he treats his staff extremely well (even while expecting a lot out of them), and he's worked incredibly hard for Massachusetts. I know the Commonwealth is praying for him, so they at least have one person fighting for them in the Senate. |
Apparently, both Sens. Byrd and Kennedy have been checked out...
It was a "hiccup" that probably manifested itself as too much "to do" for today, given their health conditions. That is difficult for some seniors to admit to that, especially when they are ill, however, at some point, we have to quickly notice when, too much is too much for them and let them "gently" know... I know this after working years with many seniors in nursing care as a volunteer. |
