Hey there- ok, i went to pick up my invitations, and i'm going back to 6 (out of 9)... I'm happy, but a little dissapointed... i got dropped my gamma phi beta (liked them, but didn't expect to be invited back), alpha chi omega (I really liked them and thought i felt comfortable in that house), and kappa alpha theta (nice house, but didn't feel too comfortable)... out of the 6 houses i got invited back too, i really liked alpha phi and pi phi, kappa delta and delta gamma are cool, and didn't really feel it at alpha delta pi and sigma kappa... i guess i'm happy that i got invited back to 6, but i'm still a little dissapointed... i'd been reading about how dissapointed people felt on here for a while, but i didn't know what it kinda felt like til now...i'm gonna go have a great time today and try and just start over, but i'm sure you guys know how i feel... i thought i was a little nervous this morning, i can't believe how nervous i'm going to be tomorrow morning- well, i'll talk to you guys later :)

hey guys- well, today went pretty well, i think... i still really like pi phi and alpha phi, but i also had a great time at kappa delta- the girls remembered me and made me feel welcomed... delta gamma was cool, but hasn't stood out too much yet... i still am not really feeling it at ADPi and sigma kappa- sorry this is so short, but i'm really tired- i'll update you (hopefully w/ good news!) as soon as i can- thanks for all the support guys! it means a lot :)

ok, so i just got back from picking up my invites... i was only invited back to kappa delta, sigma kappa, and ADPi... kappa delta is really the only one i'm interested in, so i'm kinda sad... i guess i'm just dissapointed because ... well, because of everything- i'm sure you guys know what i'm talking about... it's hard having to put all your hopes on one house... i would love to be in kappa delta, but unfortunately, if after today i'm only invited back to sigma kappa and/or ADPi, i believe i would drop out of rush... those houses have great girls, but i just don't feel like i would fit in or be at home at either of those houses... lol, i just got off the phone w/ my mom (40 min. cell phone call, yikes)... she's so cute cuz she wants to make everything all better... i know i'll be fine if i don't end up in a house, but i really want to be... i'm so happy to be posting these things here cuz you guys are all really sweet and supportive... well, i'm gonna try and get some more sleep before i have to get ready for today, which is house tours... tomorrow night is pref night... also, on a side note, i don't really like the way they give you your invitations here... you have to go to this big community center to get them at 7am, and unfortunately they don't call if you've been dropped from all the houses... it just hard seeing all the dissapointment... Also, Josh- how's your rush going? any fav. houses yet? well, i'll talk to you all later :)

It will all work out. What is meant to be will happen, if not on Bid Day, maybe later!

GiantsChic - you might be surprised at SK and ADPi- sometimes it takes houses longer to "get revved up" and just because they are not the best rushers from the beginning doesn't mean you couldn't be happy there. Like Lexi said what will be will be and you probably won't know why until a long time afterward. Best of luck!!

I know a few girls that got dropped this year from the houses they really wanted. There were two girls that were really good friends with some of my sisters. They ended up dropping out of rush because they didn't get the invites they wanted. They are now sisters in my chapter and furthermore wished they had stayed and gone to the last parties just to see what they would have been like and who knows, if they had gone, they may have changed their minds! Just something to think about. Typically I know everyone gets invited back places and end up some place for a good reason, because some one up above has seen something in them for that chapter.

Just remember what we have been saying-everything happens for a reason! You may go to rounds today and be wowed by the two you arent crazy about! But at least go to whatever prefs you are invited to. sometimes it takes pref to know where you belong. You are a wonderful lady, and even if you don't get into a house this time, you always have cob! Just enjoy your last nights!

We've talked a couple times before, if you recall, and I just wanted to give you my opinion on this. I've been to every frat and sorority house on the SDSU campus, and all of the girls that invited you back are amazing. I think you should definitely carry things out til pref at least, and just see how you feel. Some of the houses- mainly Alpha Phi and AChiO- are just a little more dynamic in the beginning than the others. Good luck, and follow your heart. I personally would be happy in any of those houses...I'm sure you'll do what's best for you! Keep us posted babe.
