Anyone know off-hand if J. Jill is keeping their online/catalog presence or completely going out of business?

I was going to buy my mom a gift card to a local salon so she could get a pedi or two (she loves that), but my sister warned me that she wasn't sure how much longer they'd be around - apparently business is slow.

Think it's safe to buy a gift card for an outlet center? It's good for any store at the outlets, and I can't imagine an entire outlet closing (though individual stores might)... right???

Reading that Snopes piece, it says that Talbots is looking to sell J Jill....not that it is in any kind of trouble or going out of business. They just want to sell it. I didn't know they owned it until I read this.
