Scandia. After 911, I've made it a point to give a dirty look at every Arab and or Muslim I ever come across, since we all know that they were responsible for 911 and all. I usually glance, stop. Glare. Do a little GRRRRRRR and then bark like a dog and point. " ARAB, MUSLIM! ARAB, MUSLIM! Dirka dirka, muhammed jihad! "

Back to the original topic. I've become more reconnected to my religion. It's brought me comfort, direction and new people into my life.

It's hard to believe that five years have gone by.

Yes. It is hard to believe. They still haven't found bin Laden yet.

Human suffering around the globe has been happening since mankind was created. They continue to happen now all over the world, not just in Lebanon, Palestine and Israel.

I pray for those who suffer, and when I find myself unable to help in any way, I try to remember that I will one day. It just remotivates my drive to join the international arena and help in any which way I can.

So no, I dont find myself becoming more religious. Just acutely aware of how good I have it here.

I started to sleep with more Catholic school girls.

Perhaps you should seek counseling.

And Rudith, that means you are having a religious experience. ;)

It happened at another message board I frequented.

A clique of moderators (not all moderators were in it) were really left-winged. They were transforming the message board into a political correctness contest.

They did not seem concerned about the Twin Towers. Nor the planes. Nor the victims.

But once they heard that Arabs and Muslims in the USA were getting nasty comments or people assaulting them, they made a bigger deal out of this than out of the thousands of people that died on 9/11. They seemed more concerned about racial profiling in future flights than about the victims (of all races and cultures) that perished in the airplanes and towers.

You are really making yourself sound ridiculous.

The thing is, each individual has his or her own opinions on these issues and which of them are more important than others. Also, there's nothing anybody can do about people who died on 9/11, but there is something that can be done about future racial profiling.

Anyway, as for the original question (and wow, I've been on GC for a loooong time), it was right after 9/11 that I determined I do not believe in god, so in that sense I became less religious for a time (I was Baha'i for a brief period before that).

Are you sure it isn't this board?
